Ask God for the gift of faith in him and be open to receiving the gift he gives you. |
| |

Read as much as you can about the Catholic faith and find out more about us. This site is a good place to start. Also you might like to talk to a Catholic. You’re very welcome to contact the office which runs this website. Click here to find out more about us. |

Ask yourself if this is the sort of community you’d like to be a part of. Do you want what God is offering you through and in it? Do you seek fellowship (and friendship) with people who share the same faith and values? |
| |

Make an appointment to see your local Catholic Priest and explain to him that you are interested in finding out more about the Catholic faith. |
| |

You will then begin a process lasting several months where you will have the opportunity to find out more about God, Catholic life and the Church. As part of this, people will also be available to answer your questions. This process is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). |

Gareth is also a member. He is 30 years old and was born in Swansea. He has been a Catholic since 1990.
My journey into the Catholic faith took a roundabout route. Born into a notionally Anglican (Church of England) family in 1973, the only truly Christian influence at home was my grandfather: a chorister in the local Church-in-Wales parish. At his urging, I was baptised Anglican as a baby.
